KaSandra Lee, The Longarm Quilter
My quilting journey began in 2009 while stationed in Okinawa. It was instantaneous that I developed a passion for quilting. For thirteen years I have been connected and learning with this wonderful community.
I'm now able to support others with Longarm Services. Helping to complete quilts is my desire for each and every person that visits my site.
I also love to repurpose t-shirts into quilts. Please let me work with you and your creation to have a quilt for years to come.
My Work
Rainbows All Day
I've been loving the patterns created by Pen and Paper Patterns over the past few years. I stitched up this lovely throw perfect for an outdoor picnic.
T-shirt Quilt in the making
Being able to recycle/reuse a persons t-shirts is a thrill for me. It is an untold story visually that I get to help create a new all-in-one item, a QUILT!
I gather the shirts and prepare them to be interfaced via my iron press. Then I cut them to a desired size for layout. I will discuss with my client a few basic layout options they can choose from. Once a decision is made, I begin piecing the top.
These quilts are long armed. Others may choose to complete quilting these with a simple straight stich on their home machine. I like to stipple or use a basic pattern to give the quilt more stability.
Here is a snap of a few completed tops.
